Yiu Tai Tung started to learn his skills as a child under the tutelage of his father and from 1971 he helped in his father’s business for a number of years.
In 1973 he joined the army and became the Lion and Dragon Dancing coach for the soldiers aswell as teaching them Kung Fu.
Receiving the PE Coaching Certificate in 1975 a major exhibition took place at the annual tattoo in Berlin where Master Yiu coached the performers to create a success out of a groundbreaking event.
In 1994 he was awarded the International Council for Coaching Education Certificate but on retiring from the Army in 1995, Master Yiu has devoted his efforts to his current range of interests described on this page.
In 1996 he was invited to Italy to teach Moh Kah style Kung Fu. He is currently the Vice Chairman of the Chinese Martial Arts Association in Hong Kong, the official coach for the Lion and Dragon Dancing Association in Hong Kong and is a permanent member of the Venezuelan Chinese Martial Arts Association. He has regularly been asked to advise on public events being planned by the Hong Kong Government.
In 1997 he was invited by the Government of the People’s Republic of China to perform at the handover celebrations. In 1999 the Venezuelan government awarded Master Yiu level 7 Black Belt status.
With over 26 years experience he is currently coaching schools and colleges.

is a revered art form requiring patience and agility in order to portray the essence of the art form to mixed audiences.

Master Yiu offers two courses of instruction to cater for different levels of skill.

Beginner Level

* Familiarity with instruments

* Basic movements

* History of the lion dance

10 lessons of 90 minutes Ł600 over a two week period

Advanced Level

* Movement styles and skills

* Detailed instruction on typical routines

10 lessons of 90 minutes Ł600 over a two week period

Kung Fu is the art of disciplined self defence which tones the body and mind through application of mental disciplines and physical exercise.

Personalised tuition

Master Yiu works with pupils to develop an individualised programme of instruction dependent on their previous experience and their personal goals.

The assessment and tuition is charged at a flat rate of Ł35 per hour.

Master Yiu has helped hundreds of people through traditional herbal cures and acupuncture and has operated extensively in the UK, Hong Kong and Italy
